I like his chinked out songs...which are no where near as Chinked out as the chinked out Jay Chou songs... But it's all good. I like Xing Zuo and Zhu Lin Shen Chu from his Shangri-la album *waver*

JAY CHOU ==;// i refuse to talk about him in the LEEHOM thread.
LEEHOM has amazing songs. they are HIPHOP.. HIPPITYHOP.
i was watching his concert the other day... & his old songs were sooo GOOD! but no chinkedoutness... they were like,, not pop either. not RnB,, hiphop. nuh uh.. they sounded so MUSICAL! like... broadwayy,, like BIG SONGS!
& his old ballads are <33. seriously........

To be honest I dislike his voice. He just saves it by having nice beats to his songs... so that's why I don't really like his slow songs... Whow I'm so glad I got that off my chest =D (I don't know why but yeah I actually do feel better now...that I've found the mystery to why I like or dislike Leehom's songs...) *lull*

# This edition comes with: "Falling Leaf Returns To Root" Music Movie Still Postcards (Set of 4) # "Falling Leaf Returns To Root" Music Movie Still Ticket Holder Leehom Wang's highly anticipated new album is here! In 2006, the talented singer-songwriter was crowned the Best Male Mandarin Singer at the Golden Melody Awards, and staged a successful concert tour, bringing his music to fans throughout Asia. Beyond that, he devoted much of his time to acting in Ang Lee's new film Lust, Caution, set in 1930s Shanghai. With shooting finally wrapped up, Leehom is returning to music with the album Change My Ways. In his last two albums, Heroes of Earth and Shangri-la, Leehom championed a fusion of hip hop and Chinese traditional music, a musical style that he dubbed "chinked-out". For his latest album, he is ready to "change his ways" and present a new image and new musical ventures. His latest album will take on a cleaner and more mellow sound, as can be heard in his new song "Falling Leaf Returns To Root". No matter what musical direction the singer takes, it is clear the one thing that won't change is the quality, sincerity, and talent that comes with every Leehom Wang album. credits: to k.sw33t@JOLINGALAXY@invisionnet.

leehom ==;.
i'd say leehom got what he sought out to achieve. its got a very OPEN feel,, much 'cleaner' than his last two albums. but man,, the songs sound so 90s!
01. the intro. the violins & stuff is really funky xD but its just the intro ==; 02, being the title track pretty much set the tone for the whole album. leehoms gone retro. crazy & retro. 03. opening instrumentals were awesome!! & the chorus is pretty fudge sweet BUT the 'phrasing' (or whatever) of the verses are sooo KISS GOODBYE! its got a beautiful melody though,, MAGICAL!! the sounds are very deep & rooted. not deep as in profound T__T. 04. an interlude. you can hear familiar tunes... mixed songs from his older albums. 05. hahaa im really liking this one!! easy listening? excellent strong beat. 06. very asian sound. the melody captures the time period really well. you know... when the guys started getting short hair & western culture got introduced into asia. minus the fighting & the killing. it sounds so... SHANGHAI! i have never been there... but if olden-day shanghai had a theme song,, this would so be it. selinas voice sounds really good with leehoms. 07. addictive melody. but its not SOLID enough for my liking. 08. HAHA FINALLY AN ENGLISH TITLE! oh fudge. shoulda known,, this is one of his whacko songs. what he'd call 'music for music'. upbeat. very. 09. ballad. odd tune. nice. 10. wahhhh SO RETRO! 11. a bit like his mcdonalds song. 12. ooh i like this one!! this song is so soothing! easy listening.
i know i said it was kinda crappy at first. but could i possibly take back what i said? *slapslap* xD cos its actually quite awesome.
it has earned itself a spot on my MP3. & you guys should all give it a listen.
